Opportunities From: Bread of the Mighty Food Bank

Come assist Bread of the Mighty in distributing food to our Bronson neighbors! Volunteers will be asked to direct traffic, sign clients in, pack food, and hand out food. Please keep in mind this mobile takes place outside. Closed toe shoes are required.  If you're scheduling for a group, please contact volunteering@breadofthemighty.org.

Please note: Volunteers can ride with Mr. Ron if they arrive at the food bank by 8am. Please call ahead to let us know that you intend to ride with us. Otherwise, volunteers will meet us at Cobb Park in Bronson. 

There are many things for volunteers to do in the warehouse, from sorting food to packing food, stocking the showroom and building agency orders, volunteers are the bread and butter of our operation! It can be hard to tell the exact activity you will assist with beforehand, so your flexibility is highly appreciated!  When scheduling for a group, it's essential for all volunteers within the group to create a Galaxy Digital account. Groups have the option to reserve slots for their team members; however, these reserved slots must be claimed by team members through Galaxy Digital no later than 7 days prior to the scheduled shift. If these reserved slots go unclaimed, they may become available for other volunteers to take.

The Saturday shift is held for those who are not able to attend a weekday shift. Because our warehouse will be closed, this shift is for all ages! Please note that volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult. Saturday shifts will consist of multiple activities including sorting, packing, and stocking! Closed toe shoes are required - and remember, the warehouse is not climate controlled! For groups looking to schedule a Saturday Shift please email Volunteering@breadofthemighty.org.

Please note: If you are running late to your opportunity, please call and let the food bank know (352-336-0839). Volunteers that are more than 15 minutes late may be asked to reschedule.
